UniFi uses Plaid to read connected account data and cannot move your money. We never receive or store your bank login, and we do not sell financial data. Read how the connection works below.
Encryption by design
Your data is encrypted on the way to us and while it rests. You sign in with your bank or Plaid during bank linking. UniFi never receives or stores your bank login.
Read-only by design
UniFi connects to your accounts through Plaid to read balances and transactions. It can never move, send, or withdraw your money — that's a hard architectural limit, not a setting.

How your bank connection works
Your bank password never touches UniFi’s servers.
When you link an account, you sign in through Plaid — which handles the connection to your bank. Depending on the bank, you sign in with your bank or Plaid. UniFi never receives or stores your bank login.
Plaid gives UniFi a connection token to retrieve the account data you authorize, such as balances and transactions. UniFi's integration does not initiate transfers or payments.

UniFi has not received an independent security certification. We use encryption in transit, database-provider encryption at rest, and read-only bank connections. Questions people ask
Can UniFi access or move money in my accounts?
No. The Plaid connection is read-only: it returns balances and transactions and cannot initiate a transfer or payment. That is a limit of the integration, not a setting.
Does UniFi store my bank login?
No. You sign in with your bank inside Plaid's own screen. Plaid gives UniFi a connection token, which is encrypted before it is stored and can be revoked from Settings at any time.
How is my data protected?
In transit with TLS, at rest by the database provider's encryption, and inside the app by household scoping that every query passes through and that a live test checks on every change.
What do your partners do with my data?
Plaid, Clerk, Neon, Vercel and Anthropic each process only what their job needs and each publishes an independent security review. UniFi does not sell your data. Our privacy policy explains how these services process it.
Is my information used to train an AI?
UniFi never trains a model on your data. Solomon uses your household's numbers to answer questions and prepare private weekly suggestions. Your conversations stay in your household.
How do I delete my data?
From Settings you can disconnect any bank or delete synced history before a date. To delete the whole household, email support@uunifi.com; we carry it out and confirm when it is done.
